The start of a new school year always brings fresh energy, new students, new routines, and new hopes for what’s possible. At EdUThrive, it also brings a renewed commitment to what matters most: support that is meaningful, consistent, and lasting.
This is why our 2026 theme is 'Support That Sticks'.
It reflects what we stand for, what we've learned, and what teachers, students, and families, tell us they need most.
Moving Beyond Short-Term Support
In education, too often support comes in short bursts. For example, a program, a plan, a temporary adjustment, or a one-off response to a complex need. While these efforts are usually well intentioned, they don’t always last.
'Support That Sticks' is about doing things differently.
It’s about creating support that:
stays in place as students grow and change
is built into everyday practice, not added as an extra
feels reliable, respectful, and sustainable
For students, especially those with additional needs or complex circumstances, consistency matters. So does trust. Support shouldn’t be something students have to repeatedly explain, justify, or fight to keep.
Our Focus for 2026
This year, we’re centring our work around:
Support that adapts as learners develop
Inclusion that is embedded, not an afterthought
Adjustments that are practical and realistic for classrooms
Systems that support students consistently, not just during moments of crisis
At its heart, 'Support That Sticks' is about creating learning environments where students feel safe, seen, and supported; knowing the support around them won’t disappear when things get challenging.
A Shared Commitment
A new year invites reflection, but it also calls for action.
In 2026, EdUThrive will continue advocating for support that lives in daily practice beyond policies, meetings, and good intentions. Because when support is consistent, students are better able to learn, grow, and thrive.
As we begin this new chapter, we invite educators, schools, and communities to join us in holding this standard high.
Here’s to 2026 — a year of 'Support That Sticks'.
